Chief Executive Officer
CRAIG CALLAHAN is CEO and Founder of ICON Advisers, Inc. He is also Co-Portfolio Manager of the ICON Equity, Consumer Select, Health and Information Technology, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Fund, and Utilities and Income Funds.
Prior to founding ICON, he was a finance professor at the University of Denver. Dr. Callahan received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The Ohio State University and a doctoral degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and statistics from Kent State University. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 66 registrations.
Dr. Callahan has been a television guest on numerous financial networks and has been featured in a number of business and investment publications. He frequently addresses broker/dealer, and investor conferences. In 2003 and 2004, Dr. Callahan was a regional finalist for Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” award in the financial securities category. He also received the “Colorado Pro Patria Award” in 2005 for demonstrating exceptional support of citizen soldiers serving in the National Guard and Reserve.

BRIAN CALLAHAN is President of, and Portfolio Manager for, ICON Advisers, Inc. He is also Co-Portfolio Manager of the ICON Equity, Equity Income, Consumer Select, Health and Information Technology, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Fund, and Utilities and Income Funds.
Mr. Callahan joined the company in 2000 as a research analyst and worked as a portfolio manager for three years before leading the marketing team until 2019. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Colorado State University and a master’s degree in business administration from The Ohio State University. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 registrations.
Scott Callahan
Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager
Scott Callahan is the CIO of, and Portfolio Manager for, ICON Advisers, Inc. He is Co-Portfolio Manager of the ICON Equity, Equity Income, Consumer Select, Health and Information Technology, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Fund, and Utilities and Income Funds
Mr. Callahan joined ICON in 2005 as a Research Analyst. He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Colorado, and his master’s degree in business administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He is currently finalizing his doctoral degree from Rutgers University. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations.
Jerry Paul, CFA
Senior Vice President of Fixed Income
JERRY PAUL, CFA, is Senior Vice President of Fixed Income and serves as Portfolio Manager of the ICON Bond Fund and Co-Portfolio Manager of the ICON Equity Income Fund. Mr. Paul was named Morningstar’s Fixed Income Manager of the Year for 1999 while he managed high yield bonds for INVESCO. Mr. Paul’s professional investment experience includes over thirty eight years in fixed income portfolio management and research. Prior to joining ICON, Mr. Paul’s career in investment management and research spanned several roles, including:
- INVESCO Funds Group; Senior Vice President, Director of Fixed Income and Portfolio Manager
- Stein Roe & Farnham; Senior Vice President, Director of Fixed Income Research and Portfolio Manager
- Century Life of America; Vice President, Investments
Mr. Paul also served as the Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager for fixed income, closed end funds and hedging strategies at Essential Investment Partners. Furthermore, Mr. Paul founded Quixote Capital Management LLC, a boutique firm focused on merger arbitrage.
Mr. Paul holds a BBA from the University of Iowa and an MBA from the University of Northern Iowa. In his free time, he is involved in community and charitable organizations. He serves on the board of directors and investment committee of the Community First Foundation.
Mr. Paul holds the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
