Bond prices tend to move inversely with changes in interest rates. Bonds with longer maturities are more sensitive to changes in interest rates. Slower payoffs effectively increase duration, also heightening interest rate risk. The Fund could lose money if the issuer of the bonds is unable to meet its financial obligations or goes bankrupt. Failure of an issuer to make timely payments of principal or interest, or a decline in the perception in the credit quality of a bond could affect bond prices.
